Pros

-Breadth of work -Flexible work hours -Gifted colleagues (many ex-notified body ex-FDA) -Pay is significantly better than many opportunities in more suburban/rural areas

Cons

-Like all remote work, it takes the self-starter type to stay on top of tasks and be proactive about risks to projects -Working remotely can lack the human connection element of working in an office

Toxic Place to Work

Cons

I recently left RQM due to the toxic culture. As I read through these most recent reviews, I can fully confirm their validity. What I find most amusing are the responses from the HR team. Almost made me throw up a little. They need to learn that their words mean nothing when they aren’t backed with action and sincerity. I don’t know a single consultant that would agree with what HR is claiming in the responses. No one feels safe going to HR for fear of losing their job. The truth: - The best people are leaving the company because they do not feel valued - Clients are doing business with other firms because RQM has nothing special to offer, and they are far too overpriced for what they do offer - Consultants that remain are in constant fear that they will lose their jobs - Leadership is terrible. They once had a people-centered formula that drove the success of the company. After the new CEO took over, the culture is toxic & no one is happy. This has led to loss of key talent. - They are letting go of people after their assignments come to an end. This means if clients have a need in the future, they will be getting less qualified consultants that RQM knows very little about.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We are committed to fostering a supportive and respectful workplace for all employees. We recently implemented new communication channels that allow us to gather important feedback from our employees (including focus groups and pulse surveys). Involving our employees and hearing what is top of mind allows us to tailor our engagement efforts and help meet the needs of our growing workforce. We understand that what’s important to one employee might look different for another. Understanding our workforce needs will help drive those efforts.

There are so many it's hard to decide which to include... I'll stick with the big one. I do not believe the current CEO, Margaret Keegan, is a good leader. She is certainly not equipped to turn this company back around to the great place it used to be. I've seen an immediate downturn in almost every area since she took over in 2022 - company culture and moral are at an all-time low, sales and financial performance have declined. Go ahead and blame it on the economy, we'll see where 2024 lands. A couple other observations that I believe speak volumes - 1. CEO does not log on to Teams like the rest of the organization - ever. She's offline and unavailable at all times. 2. CEO boasts on LinkedIn about her other ventures while the company, again, isn't doing well. 3. Top leadership is rarely aligned... Do you ever meet as a group? It's a shame where she's managed to lead this company. Top talent has left or been laid off due to the new sitting policy, which is a direct result of a decline in sales and less work. There were no bonuses, merit increases, or cost of living adjustments in 2023 due to company performance. Service awards (5, 10, 15, 20) have shifted from cash to a crappy gift of sample size items.
