Pros

- Paid lunch breaks. - Coworkers are all friendly and helpful when you have a question or problem. - Even during tough days, you will have help, and are never left to deal with a problem alone. - The vast majority of the time, the work is easy...sometimes, too easy.

Cons

- Zero benefits/perks (minus the stipend, which is required by law anyway). Not even direct deposit. - Most of your duties will be mundane/monotonous tasks that apply to this company only. Expect little to no job transferability. - No clear sense if direction of where company is headed from upper management. - Management is cheap…dirt cheap. And it shows.

Pros

1. Free coffee 2. Easy laid back job 3. Lots of free time

Cons

1. Toxic work environment: ASAS managers bully their employees and alienate anyone they don't like. They use a Discord chat to bully people and they even wiped it to destroy evidence. One of the employees is personally stalking me. They find little things and keep them filed so they have a reason to fire you if they don't like you. 2. High turn-over rate: Many people quit this job for multiple reasons. Firstly, as I mentioned, it's a toxic environment. Second, you basically get one day off if you're night shift. You work into your day off and when you're finally done with your shift.. you're tired. Then you have the next day off and guess what, you go in the next day at night. 3. No benefits. Yup; no medical, dental, or vision. They don't even offer direct deposit. 4. Software and equipment are horrible. Computers are slow and stutter.. makes it impossible to check sites sometimes. You couldn't even run Terraria on those computers.

Pros

I've been working at RTI for about two years now. I've always found the management here to be extremely fair and extremely open to feedback on everything from our current projects, new software directions we should explore, and even their management style. They've been very accommodating when it comes to some unpredictable events in my life requiring a flexible schedule and occasionally working remote, and they've never asked me to work unpaid overtime to meet a deadline or any such thing. Because of the size of the company, there has been a lot of opportunity for me to make a huge impact on the direction our team takes with our software development. Our company has projects in production on desktop, web, mobile, and even IoT, so I've been able to work on a projects for all those platforms, which I've really enjoyed.

Cons

I wouldn't see it as a con, but this company is right on the edge of growing from a small company into a big one. As such, they're still figuring out health care and retirement, but to compensate for that, they tend to pay slightly above-market hourly rates. If having those benefits included in compensation is a dealbreaker for you, this may not be the place for you.
