Pros

The only pros at Raffles are the teachers, you can meet fantastic people with different backgrounds.

Cons

There is no interest in investing in equipment and improvement of teaching. The rooms are often falling apart, the equipment outdated, the management is always sucking the blood of the teachers and treating them pretty much as slaves. Foreign teachers are a very good tool to promote the company, you will be invited to attend public events just to show up your foreign face there. The management is poor with very low experienced people and if you believe you can build a career at Raffles, forget about it! They often create more "job positions" in order to make the path longer for a higher position, and of course, always low paid. And besides these points, get ready to watch a Mexical novel there! There is a gigantic turn over of lecturers, admin harassing the faculty, students being misled, a teaching workload that can reach 40 hours in a week as well the lack of interest in the institution in updating themselves.

Pros

Besides the good relation one establishes with the students there is not another single positive thing about this company

Cons

Management is terrible. Has no business vision and just cares about sparing costs. Uses a "Divide and Conquer" strategy to keep the employees against each other, in a terrible gossiping culture, where only the "Yes, sir!" kind of people can survive. You can forget about having new ideas to improve the organization, as they will be bluntly ignored. Organization career and promotion opportunities are totally random and non transparent. Worst place where I've worked ever!

Pros

For Students, it is a nice place to learn. Probably a bit overpriced, but there is a real potential to build a career after studying there. Some of the faculty actually care about the students experience. Might meet a few great people in the staff.

Cons

I worked in the Marol Naka WeWork Building campus in Mumbai, India. Management in the Mumbai office has very little to no understanding of basic marketing or consumer economics. The desperation for sales in the office is barring the use of logic in conducting marketing activities. The sales strategies are very aggressive but the sales team will still have to take up Administration and Student Services responsibilities, while coping with daily pressures to meet unrealistic targets, due to mismanagement of human resources and improper hiring of employees. The management is a real issue though. Don't think the company will last past this year under this management as they don't seem familiar with the education industry at all. Pretty sure they think Education Service is an FMCG since such hard sales strategies are used. Just so there is an idea of what the work culture is, Warning Letters were handed out to every marketing and sales employee during the Covid-19 work from home phase for delays in work and inability to meet impossible and unthought out KPI's . No recognition or understanding is given if you are facing certain issues at home while trying to work. To receive such reprimands when trying to overcome new challenges and get work done, in my opinion, is completely undeserved.
