    I worked at Ralphs

    Pros

I enjoyed the collegial atmosphere and the access to upper management. On-the-job training was superb.

    Cons

Sensed a little bit of racism.

I have been working at Ralphs part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    1) Working with good people, 2) The pay isn't great, but the benefits are GREAT (once they kick in) We are rewarded for working safely. 3) The job is FAR easier than fast food. 4) Management is a mixed bag. Some are GREAT to work with and others do not deserve their promotions/ positions of "leadership"

    Cons

    1) The training is on the job. Their 30 page manual is nearly useless 2) Some people you work with. Others, you work around. 3) Be ready to defend your availability. They could schedule you on other days that you said you couldn't work. The key is to communicate, communicate, communicate.

I worked at Ralphs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I liked a majority of the people that I worked with and built some pretty great friendships out of it. If you show initiative and there are openings, upward mobility isn’t impossible.

    Cons

There is no communication in upper management. Often times you aren’t given the tools you need to make your department work (most notably would be labor/hours). I understand there are various factors in play for that, but I refuse to be scolded by management for not getting things done in time without proper help or the ability to have OT.

Scheduled for two hour shifts sometimes when my commute is 1 hour each way. Inconvenient and the reason why I eventually quit,
