RedRover forgets that it's the employees who make the mission happen

Pros

Kind and caring group of people. Small organization, so everyone is close. Everyone is really attached to the mission. They do very good work.

Cons

Rapidly growing org so systems constantly change. Everyone wears many hats. Pay is dismal. The work is constant and it can be really difficult/time consuming/emotional. Compassion fatigue is real. There really aren't any employee perks other than nice healthcare, most holidays off and a $400/ year vet stipend. If you're looking for employee perks, this isn't the place.

Pros

Highly mission-driven organization with strong benefits for a nonprofit.

Cons

Because it is an excellent place to work, advancement may take time as staff turnover in senior positions is low.
