      Pros

As a former traditional broker, I feel like Redfin has really cracked the nut on what it means to redfine real estate. Not just in the consumer's favor, but also for the agent. We have all the benefits and support from a full time position, but also the autonomy and flexibility that most people want when they become a Realtor. If you love writing deals but hate lead generating, Redfin is the place for you.

      Cons

Compensation can be meager when you start out, but over time it becomes a comfortable living.

      Disappointed

      Pros

Almost everyone on my team is very nice and supportive. They pay more than a minimum wage for the entry-level position. There are opportunities to grow in the company but only if you have a real estate license.

      Cons

The company looks great from the outside but no so great once you’re in it. I’ve been with Redfin for almost a year now and I begin to feel like it was a waste of time. A. They push you really hard for your metrics. No matter how hard you try your manager will not be happy with your results. The market is slow now and there are not too many tours to book but they still expect you to show the impossible results. Every time I step away to use the bathroom I feel guilty. It’s too much pressure. B. They discriminate against unvaccinated employees to the point where they will not be invited to the office Christmas party. The company is not Equal Opportunity Employer. C. They’re going to have a huge Christmas party for thousands of people in the middle of the pandemic. Someone will get sick, even if only vaccinated employees are invited. Vaccines are not 100 % effective. They said they’re spending millions of dollars booking plane tickets and hotel rooms for the party when there’s like a hundred of part-time employees who have been waiting for months to get the full-time. Give your people hours, give them benefits and some sense of security. Your people need you, they depend on you and trust you. But you would rather have a party that may potentially get someone killed? D. They hire new people instead of promoting from within.
