Smart Technologies from a not so smart employer

Pros

General work is high quality and have gained a good name among competitors and end users. Have managed to stay near the top of their game for over 20 years.

Cons

Most of them act like a bunch of construction workers in suits, although there are pockets of good individuals with good brains. Deplorable manners, no management etiquette and as for HR, they're stuck in Darwinian age of management style. Entry into the company is as bad as it is when you leave. Takes ages to get to know everyone, who are too busy protecting themselves in their silos. They promote "smart" working but they haven't a clue how to actually work smart.

Pros

Chance to meet new people within the client site. Good facilities on client site.

Cons

Poor morale with various engineers, and no real sense of progress within the company from this job role to another. A limited job role, therefore the little training you receive has no relevance for more successful roles. You need to develop you own IT skills. Poor pay. The company appears not to offer any benefits for what are essentially contracters to Redstone.
