Lots of the staff are truly dedicated, compassionate, and care about clients. Very rewarding to see clients succeed and share their stories with you. I learned so much about the resettlement world.
Cons
Lots of burnout and upper management doesn't seem to care. Burnout stems from complicated government systems, heavy caseloads, and direct service staff not getting the support and resources they need. Takes a toll on you emotionally when there are simply no solutions to help some families.
