Pros

RegEd is a great place to learn and get experience whether you are newer to the work force or making a career change. I gained experience in time and knowledge so that I was able to easily find a new job. There were many great people to work with - but most of the great ones left within 2-3 years My direct manager, team & VP over are group were great! And yes... there was cake day

Cons

Some reviewers report flexible schedules and great work / life balance - not true across all departments!! I was working almost 50 hours a week as my "usual" schedule and it went up from there. The culture in the department I was in was "get it done" - if that means you have to work a 10 or 12 hour day because no one else is trained to do your work, then that is what has to happen. The group was always understaffed - by the time a new employee was starting, another one turned in notice. There were never enough people to do the job which put a lot of pressure on the others. Some departments were very difficult to work with - and we depended on them for information and help. It was a constant struggle and combined with the long hours, it was exhausting and frustrating. A huge amount of employee turnover from people electing to leave - not enough people to do the work and few experts around to ask for help Some poorly developed products with functionality gaps Lots of stability issues with some products which causes clients to leave It will be up to you to figure a lot of things out on your own (depending on the department). If you do not like research and solving puzzles - this will be a challenging place to work at. Because of the high turnover, there isn't always an expert around to answer questions or train others. Pay is WAY below market value. At my new job, I'm being paid above market value according to salary.com & glassdoor.com. Again - a good place to gain experience - then you will be able to go to another company that pays what it should. The sales team sold products by any means necessary. I was constantly dealing with contracts that were wrong or missing items, compressed schedules that had to happen (resulting in more work hours) because that is what sales promised, functionality that was promised that either didn't exist or work the way the customer thought it would. But this is the precedent set by the President...tell customers what they need to hear to close the deal and let others deal with the fallout. I could keep going.... overall it was a very stressful experience.

Pros

Has incredibly talented and wonderful people! Great place to gain work experience. It is a small company so you can be very involved and have the opportunity to streamline processes and work closely with people in all levels of organization Cake day once a month to celebrate birthdays some departments have the ability to work from home one day a week

Cons

Low salary and subpar benefits negative culture somebody always has to be blamed for a mistake or issue that arises. No training at all. It is a sink or swim mentality. Mistakes are not overlooked but used against you. Some departments set up employees to fail without providing them with the proper training or tools to succeed. For example putting new team members on products that do not match their background, management does not know the product but expects the associate to figure it out quickly and not make any mistakes all work no life balance. the expectation is to work to meet client deliverables yet management leaves at 5 pm everyday and does not offer support when staff is overwhelmed. People get burned out very quickly and end up leaving the company no career path in some departments you have to constantly defend yourself and have a good argument for issues that come up. judgments are made quickly without getting all of the facts emphasis is on the bottom line not the quality of the work or the client satisfaction for a "technology" company the software is archaic and prone to bugs poor communication from top down company makes "knee jerk" reactions to issues that arise instead of taking a step back to re-evaluate and assess the situation
