Toxic Leadership, Unstable Environment — Not Worth the Stress

Pros

A very few genuinely talented and helpful teammates

Cons

Rampant Internal Politics: The engineering leadership, especially at the top, fosters a toxic political culture. Decisions are driven more by favoritism and personal biases than merit or data. Frequent Layoffs: Layoffs have become a monthly ritual, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. There’s little to no transparency — people are let go suddenly without warning or rationale. Toxic Management Culture: It’s either “bow down or get shot.” Challenging decisions, offering alternative viewpoints, or even asking questions is often seen as disloyalty. Constructive feedback is not welcome. Zero Job Security: No matter how well you perform, your position is never safe. Even high performers aren’t spared when cost-cutting happens. No Clear Vision: The company lacks long-term direction. Frequent re-orgs and shifting priorities make it difficult to feel any sense of stability or growth.

Pros

I am hesitating to do this on Glassdoor, considering I know the founder of this company in person. Absolutely amazing and a genius human. He was the only person who encouraged me to stay in this rotten political organisation (hoping for Good days ahead) , but eventually his charm vanished and made me move on. I am naturally compelled to do this for a better future of India's young generation. 1. You will get a salary on time. You get good health insurance services too. 2. The HR department is very cooperative if you are a professional. 3. 10/10 for being a very good company to increase your mental patience level 4. You can get a world class experience on the internal politics directly under a few senior directors and less trustworthy managers to speed up your career growth (which is not much useful and susceptible to failure for any genuine human) 5. Company saves a lot of money (by making interns working 24x7) 6. Your job is financially secure, because ~5% employees of this organisation are really genuine, highly talented and work very hard, and generate revenue enough to fulfil the remaining ~95% workforce. 7. Instead of trusting LinkedIn hiring, Trust me before you join this company. 8. Out of 4 years, I fought for 3 years with this very challenging environment hoping things will change. And now I have become a much stronger resource to this IT industry to face any negative influence. Thanks to this company. Instead of making my resume stronger, they made me. 9. Technical team in the United States is the only trustworthy part of this company when it comes to becoming a better engineer, because they are doing their job very well. I salute them for it. 10. Best lesson you will get here is being a victim of favoritism. Oh man, this atrocity is like Jupiter's great red spot. Everyone can see it, but you know nothing about it. 11. Another modern theory you will experience here is Soft Layoff. Including me, many experienced people are being pushed to stressful environments and forced to move on, just to save some corrupt managers. 12. They are rewriting the very definition of Start up company by remaining a start up company forever. 13. Monthly global all-hands announcements are simply delusional. 14. Another masterpiece skillset you will learn here is manipulation, gossiping, instead of exposure to Kubernetes architecture, AWS infrastructure, Docker orchestration, Data lake architecture, Cloud security, Product Development, Leadership skills, Customer Interactions, Equal opportunities, Mobile app development and many more.

Cons

1. Be aware of a psychological warfare group aka People team. Your single word can be used against you. Terms and conditions applied. I am cautioning and suggesting being aphonic during your whole tenure here. 2. Interns along with senior developers are unfortunate pupils who aren't even aware of their own loss - at all technical, professional and financial levels. If you are an intern who is reading this, make sure you know your worth before joining this company. 2. You will miss a great chance in your life for fast career growth if you don't join this company. Opportunities are not provided to genuine hard working people in this company, until you have or you acquire and use manipulative skills for satisfying your senior hierarchy (mostly one senior director and one slavee manager in India). Your realistic growth will be wrapped under delusion created by political directors and managers. You will never know until someone pulls you out of it or you manage on your own. 4. You will rarely find poisonous chameleons in jungles, but you will find many of such here. You will never know you are surrounded with such people all the time who are indeed double faced chameleons. 5. My first year was really good and gem folks started leaving one by one eventually and now there are hardly 10-12 smart workers because of whom the company has not fallen yet. But we never know the future right, considering the history of lay-offs by this very company. 6. Appraisals are fake. For your own sake, forget about it, totally. Be real. Double your side income if you are working in this company. 7. You will never get recognition you are worthy of. You will be blamed if you raise your voice against any wrongdoing. I have seen many people here (in fact all who are working here for more than 4 years) are not at all progressive. 8. Here is a sensitive thing, I want to mention - Companies' critical male - to - female ratio says a lot about sadistic mentality about equal opportunities. 9. Culture is very boring. 10. Minimum 12 hours working is routine, you can't do anything about it. They compare Indian workers with US workers, but they forget that people in the US are paid hourly . 11. People work in Ridecell, for Ridecell, NOT for certain Star project. That doesn't mean companies get the right to downplay other resources who are not part of particular project. Shows favoritism. I am very certain that one day this project will become the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 chapter of the company's history. 12. This is not a Product based company. Please note. This company neither has product base nor service base.
