I was a VanMoof customer through the Amazon bike lease program, and I’ve experienced multiple issues both before and after the company's bankruptcy. My requests to cancel and return the bike were ignored during the bankruptcy proceedings. When Rybit took over servicing, things did not improve. My bike consistently became inoperable after around 200 miles of use, and it has spent more time waiting for repairs than on the road this year.Additionally, my bike was stolen, and under the lease I signed, theft is covered with a $0 deductible. Despite this, Rybit is refusing to honor that coverage and is charging me $300 for a deductible, as well as $150 a month for a subscription that I canceled back in July. Even more frustrating is that I provided a police report, and the stolen mode tracking shows that the bike is currently at Rybit’s facility in San Francisco. They have the bike, yet their customer service has been extremely unhelpful and dismissive.Given my experience, I strongly advise against using Rybit for any bike servicing or leasing. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or similar experiences.Also, I’m considering Ride Panda for my next e-bike lease. If anyone has feedback on them, I’d appreciate hearing it.
