Pros

- Fair salary for start-up - Interesting projects - Nice Hardware Equipment - Can-do attitude from the colleagues besides the circumstances

Cons

- Incredible demanding. About 60h / week in best-case scenario. - Full-time pressure job. - No personal life, either conceivable. - Your work is not being valued by management. Even though you show the most amazing results. - No shares option. Centralized company decision-making. - I say, you do. - Unstable team. Most of the people face mental problems at some point and end up quitting.

Pros

Interesting projects to work on Very nice coworkers, but they all were either forced to quit or quit by themselves.

Cons

I hope that you will read this before you sign the contract! The environment in STTech is one of the worst and most hostile you can ever imagine. The management is abusive and being threatened to be kicked out is absolutely normalized. Management would intentionally try causing divisions between workers by distributing rumors and counting on the fact that there’s very little communication between employees (which is the absolute opposite) Management promises a phd but do not fall into this trap, there’s not enough time even for work itself. You get paid well, but you will probably use this money later for a therapist. To sum up, if I had the option to work in STTech or in a pizzeria, I would undoubtedly choose a pizzeria. At least, I have free pizza.

Pros

In my opinion the company offers exciting projects and it is (to some extent) possible to take responsibility. Employees are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware, during pandemic times home office is encouraged and required devices and items such as headsets and face masks are provided by the employer. Occasionally there are social events offered for everyone in the company to participate such as afternoons at the lake, sport events, or virtually hanging out together after work.

Cons

According to my experience, there is a culture of mistrust and lack of communication between the management and most employees. It is encouraged to solve personal issues together with the management, but from my point of view multiple colleagues that have spoken up were advised to leave the company and in some cases were actively pushed to do so. The work environment affecting the health of employees in certain cases was, to my knowledge, played down and not taken seriously by the management. I can say that the project structure is not very organized and required information is only shared upon explicit request. Benefits communicated during the hiring process (e.g. chance to do PhD, flexible working hours with option for home office, working on projects based on personal interest) were, in my experience, neglected due to lack of resources and in some cases actively denied. Wages were not always paid on time.
