Pros

The company provides work from home opportunity and also pays allowances for the same.. You get around 40 paid leaves a year and never need to work on the weekend.. Day shift, employee centric, friendly culture, decent pay (as per city standards), no work pressure, Global exposure, on the job trainings, etc, are some Pros of the company that you may consider before joining... Also there are very few good MNCs in Dehradun and SAGE is one of them so it is a nice choice if you are a resident and looking for a decent job in the city...

Cons

Poor management is the biggest Con of Dehraduj office.. The good ones left the organization and the ones who are left along with new managers are eating up the whole culture, which SAGE was once know for.. Using the same old and laggy softwares, no individual performance bonus, limited growth opportunities, average salary packages for highly qualified employees, India books division closed which resulted in mass layoff and bad social image, limited new learning opportunities, employee concerns are unheard and ignored when it comes to salary and promotion, etc are some major Cons you might considered before joining..

SAGE has lost its touch (not a great place place to work anymore)

Pros

- They offer work from home (but have started something called Anchor Day, wherein they cajole employees to work from office, a day each month). - Two days off in a week (although most employers do that, so its up to you if you see that as a pro)

Cons

- Was once a good place to work, not so much anymore. - Poor leadership. - Poor remuneration. - Poor communication - management claims to have a very transparent communication with their employees (this couldn't be further from the truth). A recent example is; 80 odd employees were laid off, they were only given a very short notice before their employment was terminated (some of whom had been with SAGE Dehradun right from the start). For a company claiming to be "like a family" this doesn't portray a good picture, should of at-least given a month to the poor chaps to come up with a plan for their future. - If you have any concerns (especially salary related), do not bother contacting the HR or management about it, they either never respond and if they do they make sure to drag it as long as they can. At the end of it, if they offer an increment (at all) it is not worth the time or effort. - Poor recruitment - The new hiring's at SAGE (for the most part, in the last few years) can only be described as mediocre. To bring in people at a low cost with no apparent skills, may work well in the short run but has a bad impact on the quality of business in the long run. Either the management is ignorant to this fact or doesn't care.

Pros

Process-centric, data-driven, calibrated work up to middle management levels

Cons

VPs take away all their team's credits to themselves; either fall in line with SMG or you'll certainly be ousted; anything you say or do WILL be used against you when things turn unfavourable. Precedences are set almost instantly and it is truly difficult to break out of these precedences - as in, once a mistake is made (consciously or inadvertently), expect penalisation, unless of course you "please" your HoD. "Please" - nothing dramatic here, just saying yes, NOT give better ideas than your HoDs, smile when you're shit-smeared (within closed doors, but in front of your subordinates or peers), grin when your appraisal is turned upside down due to 1 (one) mistake....the list is just starting!!
