I loved to work in this company. After it was purchased by ValSoft, lot of clue people were let go. I asked for a raise after not getting anything since 3 years and they preferred me to resign. After almost 14 years!
The company once offered an extensive array of top-notch products, like attendance and door access systems. Some pieces of the original software still linger, thanks to its robust core code. Nowadays, the company's name is about all that remains. The acquisition occurred after the original owner passed away.
Cons
After Valsoft Corp acquired ScholarChip, they significantly downsized the product and let go of 90% of the staff within two years. The company culture and growth opportunities have dwindled. Now, most work is remote, and there's barely any new development in software or hardware—just fixes for existing issues. The company aims to recover its investment primarily through annual subscriptions from school districts.
