Pros

Was a good company before CJCJ

Cons

You are expendable employee spent almost 40 years - retired from Schwans CJCJ . Not sure what I expected as a retirement package- not even a thank you for making a career of this company. Senior leadership is only in it for the money and titles- way to many VPs. Corporate Moto is if it doesn’t effect me it doesn’t matter… Area manager (is the RSS route jumper) is just a title you will cover open routes and expected to do your duties. Turnover is generated from Corp pushing products into stores that is not needed. Store mgmt don’t trust sales representatives because of this. Recruiting is non existent no help at all. Open positions for 6-8 months because of no support from Corp recruiting/HR. Looks to me as Schwans is setting the DSD division to go warehouse…

Pros

Hours have shifted to earlier routes. 10:00-7:00, soon to be 9:00-6:00. Routes have potential to make commission money when run correctly. Good quality products/food to sell and deliver.

Cons

More and more demands made for drivers, attaining goals, etc. without any further compensation. Trucks keep breaking down. Poor fleet condition. Corporate keeps changing routes to penalize what drivers have spent time creating. More and more riding along by superiors, even during Pandemic, and supervisors not vaccinated.

Pros

My immediate management were good people. Customers can be great people. The company trucks work some of the times.

Cons

Upper management sucked. Mistreated immediate management and that trickles down. Insurance stinks. You're expected to be on the road 10+ hours a day, regardless if you have that many customers on that day. Dead end, dead beat customers they refuse to take off your route. Not a lot of money at all. When I got off vacation, they wanted me to make up days.

Pros

the colleagues are good, overall office atmosphere is okay.

Cons

No professional growth, no available trainings for you if you want to develop your skills. Extremely bad employee benefit or no benefit. It's all about saving money, not retaining talent

Don't sell your soul

Pros

Money is commensurate with experience and benefits are ok. Location is in a somewhat dilapidated area but crime is low.

Cons

Management teams are a mess (HR/Production/Maintenance). You are expected to do other job duties in other departments because they can't afford to hire the correct employees in. Corporate HR/Production turns a blind eye to the needs of the site locations. Turnover is extremely high due to the mismanagement of the locations. Good employees are run off in droves. If you want to sell your soul for no gain, please do so. 12 to 13 hours a day and then no family/life balance.

Pros

The only good thing about it is the pay, the hourly rate is good but get ready to work a lot of hours, while being treated like scum unless your a suck up! They do match up to 6 % of your 401k. I did actually care about and like my job before I realized that nothing will ever change!

Cons

Benefits are a joke, health insurance is super expensive and doesn’t cover anything. We work 10-12 hour shifts usually 5-6 days a week, you have absolutely no home life, you live there and they expect to love a place that doesn’t treat their employees right. It’s a non stop rotating door because they can’t keep employees, your constantly expected to do 2-3 people’s jobs while upper management only cares about meeting their numbers. They or I should say the employees make billions for this company and they make us pay for our monthly box of pizza, usually the nastiest type of pizza they make. It’s either extremely hot or extremely cold. I worked in the bakery and let me tell you its hot especially in the summer, also its gross, you shoes will be covered and sticking to the floors and your inhaling flour all day long, you look like a cokehead by the end of shift and it definitely affects your breathing and can’t be good for your body.

Pros

Decent money and good benefits

Cons

Inadequate help in my friends department and they honestly don't care about their employees or at least my friends department didn't care at all. Treated with disrespect by their employers. Hey did for having a disagreement
