Pros

The pay is decent when you join but don't expect any improvements after that

Cons

Data.ai acquisition was one of the biggest failures in terms of employee retainment. It was basically a cash grab/exit opp for the mgt in data.ai and that allowed ST to control the market. Market had no choice but to go for the inferior product of ST at the price of data.ai and that got to the heads of the ST Management. There was nothing really done to facilitate a smooth transition for employees. Half of the data.ai team were let go and then the rest eventually left or were let go. Product teams even after many months couldn't even get half the features available on data.ai. They pretty much call poor decision making as "Start up culture". The only way to get visibility is to be a 'yes man' to the CRO. CEO is hardly seen. If you are in their favorites, then its great and you can move to the top easily even if you don't have the experience, skill or qualifications.

Low morale

Pros

Some nice benefits like free food, wellness stipend, team events (pre-covid). Possibly good stepping stone to better known companies in the mobile space.

Cons

There's a morale problem. Despite having an inhouse recruitment team and the company bragging about being profitable, people are leaving every month and I know more who are actively looking for other work. Since covid we've been working even harder since micromanagers don't trust us work effectively from home. 10 p.m. nights are a regular occurrence. The way upper management talks about the #1 competitor in the space is quite unprofessional. Also, they incentivize employees to give glowing GlassDoor reviews, so take other reviews here with a grain of salt.

It's ok if you need a job in mobile/SF.

Pros

- It's an ok stepping stone if you stay for 1-2 years to get an inflated job title. - Sensor Tower works with really big name clients in mobile. - Decent reputation in the industry with minimal promotion and branding - You could learn a lot from your team members if they're inclined to teach you. - Daily EatClub (big deal)

Cons

- Complete lack of executive suite; no clue how to run a business - Micro managers all over the place. If you make a mistake you'll be reamed. If Sensor Tower management makes a mistake; they won't care. - Product is a complete rip off of the industry leader in the space and all we do is undercut pricing. - Super aggressive "management" with obvious personality disorders. - No real team structures which could be a good or bad thing depending on how aggressive you are to take advantage of the situation. - 100% turnover once a year on non engineering roles. Just look on LinkedIn to see how many people have left and how depleted the teams are. - Terrible benefits aside from free lunch
