Lack of consideration or just clueless?

Pros

The are trying something new in a dynamic and growing field. If they hit the mark, they'll be in great shape.

Cons

I don't think their leadership is efficient or puts their people first. Working there is like trying to hit a rapidly moving target and they don't seem concerned in staying focused. I found that management was less concerned with how they treat people than with getting as much work as possible out of them.

Pros

- Nice people in the office (Except the Exec team) - Free fruits and drinks - Teaches you how not to manage a company, very educational

Cons

- Exec team that behave like modern day aristocrats, don't even bother show up in the office. They keep away from the lower class folks and hide in meeting rooms. - No idea what they want to do with their product, just selling dreams to investors. - No class, they will shun anyone that has anything critical to say about the business. - Office in the middle of nowhere, no food option, stupid traffic to get there, lift that completely disagree with the law of physics. - Childish culture, the "all staff" meeting is basically the cringiest thing I have seen in my life, it could be easily be pictured in a Dilbert cartoon. - The "Exec team" only listen to themselves, after all the special meetings where they do "brain storming" session, which is ironic when you are missing one of the element. - Treat people like garbage and completely mess up with their contract, promise renewal then cancel it. - Complete lack of communication, they change "strategy" every two weeks, yet only communicate every two months about it without any explanation. - CTO is a bully towards locals, I have never heard someone being so patronizing in front of everyone, completely disregard cultural differences and stomp his "BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD" (with best president ever!) on any of them. Will berate people in his team publicly, it is just outrageous. - They want you to start contract tomorrow because basically everyone else is gone, don't fall for this trap, it's not that they need you it's just that the ship is sinking and they have to act like it's all cool up there. - Not going to give name but they should probably recognize who they are, a lot of people are acting like they know stuff yet can't come up with anything creative, there is a clear lack of financial knowledge for firm that deemed themselves as the next "data vendor that will rule the world".

Pros

One of the most significant reasons why I enjoy working at Sentifi is my colleagues and the superb management. The hierarchy is very flat; everyone focuses on improvement and development, so you sometimes forget that you are talking to your manager or CEO as everyone treats each other as equal and is working towards the same goal. Sentifi is also open if you'd like to try to get your hands dirty in a field that probably isn't necessarily in your job description. Employees can explore and possibly set new goals and motivation for the future of their careers. In the past ~5 years that I have been with Sentifi, I was able to hone a various set of skills that have helped me grow, take on new positions and responsibilities, and most importantly stay motivated with my work and future outlook. Competitive salary and the benefits (health care, snacks, drinks, weekly company dinner, great office, and location) are a plus.

Cons

There are no major cons that stand out, only smaller process improvement ideas. If you are looking for a well-established company with perfect processes, day-to-day defined tasks, and industry professionals with 20+ years of experience that can guide you through your tasks step by step, this company might not be for you. But if you are looking for a flexible, young work environment with new challenges along the way, Sentifi will be very suitable for you.
