Pros

The opportunities for growth at Servcorp are endless, and the team and management genuinely support you to achieve your goals. The training provided from day one makes you feel supported and gives you valuable experience with managing team, clients and running a business. The people, both team and clients, are great and I feel lucky to work for a company with rich culture that empowers females to become leaders. Plus, the views from the offices are hard to beat.

Great place to build foundational skills and get a foot in the industry. Servcorp often hires people without prior sales experience, so you learn a lot on the job.

Cons

Leadership culture can be challenging, with a very top-down management style. Decision making often comes from senior leadership outside of the UK, which can sometimes feel disconnected from the realities of the local market. Sales teams work extremely hard and follow the company model closely, but performance pressure is high and responsibility for results can fall heavily on frontline teams. There is also a noticeable level of pressure within teams, and at times employees feel their roles are insecure, which can create a stressful environment. This may contribute to the relatively high turnover seen in some teams, with experienced staff moving on. The company often highlights its large team structure compared to competitors, but in practice many employees are responsible for multiple functions which means you cannot focus on sales as much as they want you to. Additional operational support could help create a more balanced workload and improve overall team morale.
