Pros

WFH policy nothing more than this

Cons

1. Company has been ruined by Politics, else it was a worthy place to work 2. New CTO is a ruthless fellow, only focuses on filling his pocket, he has nothing to do with the organisation 3. Same with CSE department, they take the newly joined employees as granted and pile a burden of work on them 4. No increment, only LAYOFFS every 6 months 5. Company dosen't have any clear vision for progress 6. CTO thinks as per the MNC's and takes decisions, that thing dosen't works on a startups 7. No stability and security, you never know when u'll receive the layoff mail 8. Toxic & stressfull work culture 9. Moreoften have to work on weekend too 10. Micro-management on every single activity

Pros

Worked at SessionAI for over a year in a management role within the CSE team. The company initially looked promising, but the internal reality eventually became extremely unstable. A huge percentage of employees were removed in a very short period of time. Instead of conducting proper layoffs with transparency and severance, many employees were pushed toward submitting resignations themselves. The handling of the situation felt deeply unprofessional and created widespread distrust across teams. During the final months, leadership appeared more focused on keeping the company afloat and positioning it for acquisition than supporting employees or maintaining culture. Internally, there was constant uncertainty, low morale, and very little honest communication about the company’s future. What made the experience worse was seeing hardworking employees suddenly treated as disposable despite contributing heavily to the company’s growth. Pros: Talented coworkers Some interesting technical challenges Good learning experience early on

Cons

Extremely poor job security Leadership lacked transparency during critical situations Pressure around “voluntary resignations” Employee wellbeing became an afterthought Culture deteriorated rapidly under financial pressure Constant uncertainty about the company’s future

Pros

Less than None & Work from Home (at times)

Cons

My experience with Session AI was concerning, particularly around certain organizational practices and decision-making approaches. During exit processes, employees were reportedly required to liquidate company-issued assets and transfer the proceeds before their full and final (FNF) settlement could be completed, which felt unusual and stressful. There also appeared to be inconsistencies in workforce decisions, with some employees being let go while others were retained under circumstances that were not always clearly performance-driven, raising questions about fairness and transparency. Notably, even managers who demonstrated fairness and integrity were affected, which further added to the uncertainty around decision-making criteria. From an engineering perspective, strategic decisions often leaned heavily on AI-assisted tools such as Codex. While these tools can enhance productivity, relying on them without sufficient practical engineering validation sometimes led to decisions that did not fully align with robust system design principles. Overall, the experience highlighted concerns around process clarity, fairness, and engineering leadership. Prospective candidates may want to assess these aspects carefully before making a decision.
