If you are not an IITian specifically from Kanpur, don't even think about any growth perspectives. There are people getting promoted in just 6 months, because they have the IITK tag. Nothing else. There are people doing good work, but not valued at all. Non-IITians are looked down upon, and hardly get chance to move ahead. And pls pls don't believe in any promises made to you for anything. I had lost out on a good opportunity because I was promised that I would be moved to another role, but that never ever happened, and instead I was shown the door just after few months of the conversation. If you have an opportunity, just move out. The environment is very toxic. Don't go after the hype which is created. The only reason they are able to thrive is because there is no more competition from Tiktok and Helo. If those apps are again allowed in India, ShareChat will not thrive at all. For non-IITians, simply stay away. Money is wasted on non-performers because they can do boot licking, and the performers are suffering.
