Pros
It's a job, they will pay you, and it's decent technical experience for those getting in on the ground floor.
Cons
If you have a family, and enjoy spending time with them, don't work here. No raises. No performance review process. High turnover. No appreciation from management. Poor internal communication. High burnout amongst engineers. Very high expectations for on-call. Work from home is pitched as a benefit, but management won't let you use it without repercussions. No space to grow, no positions to get promoted to. Backhanded comments. Shaming in front of whole teams when mistakes are made. Shaming from management in front of company when actions taken are not what they want. Lack of formal training. No onboarding process. Lots of after-hours emails, with expectation of quick response, even if not on call. Flex time not automatically given, even if long overnight shifts are put in. Lots of out-of-date hardware and software internally.
