Pros

Cant find any Pros here except that you can work like a slave for 24x7 and then find your next big jump into big data analytics domain.

Cons

Poor management of office, long working hours, lunch and snacks is paid. Only dinner is free because management want people to stay late. If you can work 24x7 , you are considered a hero.....But dont ask for a salary hike. Appraisal is a joke here and HR team is not approachable. They will keep you running from HR to finance and have no ownership of the matters related to employees.

Pros

I got a decent hike while joining. I got to know that sometimes hike is not the only thing and for short term goal you can jeopardise your whole career. I also realized lower salary and going to office for a prestigious organisation is much better than ruining your career with a small company with questionable practices and no culture

Cons

Highly toxic work culture; what happens is that sales team sells fraud solutions or will go and sell some wrong skill set that you don’t even have and then they will put you infront of client saying that you are expert in this area. Above that manager will also pressure you as sales and manager both get commission on revenue. Within the teams also there is constant fights and a crab culture has been created. If by mistake you have to bear some official expense , the admin team will make your life hell while claiming and ask question as if you stole that money. HR is there for name only .

Pros

Salary as per market standards. There has not been any major layoffs in recent past.

Cons

Well, where to start!! Sigmoid is a company with no work culture. All the Managers are micro-managers. What else do you expect if you need to fill Jira without fail everyday even if you are on bench. Toxicity is propagated from the Higher management to the leads. All are pretending to be very busy, when actually nobody is doing anything worthy. There does not exist a single good project. All trash works are being glorified as high quality Data Science work. If you are in the Data Science side there is a high chance that you will be stuck with Excel and ppts 90% of the time. You will be creating baseless client proposals, 100% of which will not get converted into projects. They do not have any work ethics. You might get pings from managers over holidays even for very small issues. It is highly unlikely that you would cope with this kind atmosphere if you value your work and time, and you don't want to resort to falsehood every now and then. Most of the engagements would be 2-3 month long (even 2-3 weeks). So you are not going to learn anything good. Even if you are in long term client project most of the time you will have to worship the client, you will literally have no say and you would be puppet acting as per their wish. Most of the time business would not align with the results and you would be asked to adjust the results (Statistics and data science will have horrific death). Due the chaos no sane person would be able to survive here for a long time. On top of all these issues they have 2 year bond for freshers. One last warning, Don't get overwhelmed by looking at the IIT/NIT tags of the people working here. Except few most are not very efficient, cunning, egoistic and have limited or no knowledge of fundamentals. Consider Sigmoid as last option.
