many opportunities to go for courses to upgrade and learn. pace is reasonable, though may need to rush for deadlines at times. good place to work for later part of your career.

Cons

depends on which institutions you are in, some are quite backward compared to private sector. need to be in a dept with a technically trained boss in order to learn and work on good projects. really depends on luck. pay is quite average after including PB and AWS.
