You’re either part of the protected club or you’re fair game to be a scapegoat

Flexible if you need time off, and covered parking. New office, many of the employees are nice.

Literally everything else about this company is awful. Overtime is expressed, and they look down on you if you don’t come early and stay late. Most days are spent working through lunch. You have no semblance of a life outside of work. They pretend to be understanding, then stab you in the back when it comes to your personnel review. The tenured directors/management are AWFUL and they are part of a boys club (yes, even the women) that are protected at any cost. The title director acts like a teenager, talking so loudly on the floor to demand all attention be on her, treating her team terribly. Made me sick to my stomach to watch this - especially the way she used her team as scapegoats I order to hide her shortcomings. There were a lot of lies. I worked closely to this team so had the unfortunate opportunity to watch this unraveling. They bully women - more women of power bullying women on their teams and men treating women like it’s 1950 - WHY? Why is this still happening and why is it allowed to continue despite various complaints to HR by multiple team members from different departments? Stop faking a culture of positivity!! It’s not a good look and you’re only fooling those young employees you’re hiring with no experience and no knowledge of how a reputable company looks. Vet dismissive of complaints. Make you feel like you are the bad apple. Wages are terrible. Don’t even get me stated about the nepotism!! More people in offices than necessary and those in the offices spend a lot of time socializing - what exactly do you do to get paid so much? Spending money on VPs of made up positions rather than paying a fair salary to your employees on the floor. Sad that you can’t figure out how to run a business with so many people on your executive, VP, director, mgmt teams. Seems to me it’s time to clean house. After all of that, you fight tooth and nail to get time off around the holidays, and they hold your PTO request hostage making it impossible to make advance plans for the holidays. Seriously? I say this in all seriousness - DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS COMPANY. You WILL be sorry you took the position. Unless you are working in accounting. Those people actually seem mostly happy.
