Pros

Development team are a great bunch of people, some of whom I still keep in touch with to this day. Application architecture is cutting edge and fun to work with. Great location at the edge of the Exchange District.

Cons

Expected to put in "extra" hours on a regular basis regardless of urgency as an unspoken rule, contrary to what was contained in the work contract and despite being already underpaid. CTO regularly uses bullying tactics to "motivate" those he's chosen to be on his radar. Lacks respect for people. CTO has no sense of priority and direction and lacks the necessary skill sets to effectively run a team of creative professionals. Always prefers fast and ad-hoc solutions over correct ones that are reviewed and tested. Unable to effectively keep track of and maintain requirements which has resulted in unnecessary rollbacks of code revisions.

Pros

The shifts are very flexible. You can do one shift a month for example or as many as possible depending on how busy you are. The pay is very good ranging from 15 to 25 an hour based on time and location of your shift. The work is very consistent in terms of pace. You won't ever be rushing to do something which is nice.

Cons

You do need a fuel efficient car and valid insurance. You still have to pay for gas from the money you earn. When the weather is bad (like heavy snow) the incentives to go on a shift aren't as great since you have to deal with slow driving and ice and snow on the roads without any compensation. Lastly, you sometimes have to wait while being matched to an order which can take too long.
