      Frat boys gone wild.

      Pros

      There are definitely some smart people here working hard to support the UT Boys Club.

      Cons

      Ever wake up and wish, "I hope that some day I can work at a company where drunken, white frat boys call all the shots"? If so, SmartDog Services is the place for you. With few exceptions, this company is run by men with *zero* appreciation for diversity. There's no desire to hire women or people of color beyond token individuals. Women are hired eagerly in support roles but that's it.

      Pros

      They can have some decent contract work. Just make sure you pin them down on details - if there's ever a question on scope they will usually pressure the contractor to eat it. Definitely wouldn't work there full time.

      Cons

      Small boutique that has been doing EBS for a long time and now seems to be struggling with transitioning to Oracle's new cloud product offerings. Lots of tension and back biting in the office - management seems to be at odds with each other a lot. Not a fun environment to be in - best to avoid the office and just keep your head down as much as possible. Benefits are basic and expensive. No 401k match etc. If you're looking for a full time role there are a lot of better places out there.

      small firm, easy to get to know everyone

      Cons

      mgmt is out for themselves, will do layoffs quickly to keep their incomes high. Claims to have employee things like 401k, but frequently stops their contribution. There is no career opportunities. this company is best for independents who want to sub-contract
