Pros

None, none, none, none, none

Cons

This workplace runs on vibes, guesswork, and unanswered messages. Upper Management had an impressive talent for being completely unreachable while simultaneously expecting miracles. Responses took days — sometimes weeks — but urgency was always your problem. Hiring approvals were blocked or endlessly delayed, leaving teams severely understaffed while leadership sat comfortably on the sidelines asking why things weren’t running perfectly. Accountability flowed strictly downward. Authority? None. Support? Cosmetic at best. Problems were ignored until they became emergencies, at which point they were blamed on the people who had been begging for help all along. Communication was inconsistent, expectations were unclear, and burnout was treated like a personal weakness instead of a predictable outcome of chronic mismanagement. If you enjoy being set up to fail, blamed for systemic issues, and gaslit into thinking you didn’t “try hard enough,” this is absolutely the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Pros

High traffic area - easy to gain customers as it is located inside walmart. Most of the clients who come here are AMAZING :)

Cons

wage theft, scam-ish pay system, long hours, upper management doesn't help w/recruiting unless you pester them, they only focus on what they feel you're not doing enough of and not on how much you do! Bare minimum budget to order supplies - some salons only get a monthly budget of 30.00 to order supplies! We don't have access to human resources. you're labeled a troublemaker for asking questions about your paycheck. they "offer" commission vs hrly and even when you hit your goals they don't pay you commission. they try to lump in retail goals w/ your service goals so they don't have to pay you. they charge what they call shop fees and these show up on your check! they say this is a fee charged to the clients and it affects how your commission is calculated. Rarely get lunches and if you point out they legally (in tn) have to give you a lunch you're labeled a trouble maker and your job threatened.

Pros

Pay can be great if you know what you are doing and move quickly.

Cons

They cant keep managers because they dont pay enough. Salons are not kept up on as far as maintenance because it takes forever to get ahold of upper management and for them to actually get it taken care of.

Horrible place to work

Pros

There are no pros to work here

Cons

If your location doesn't make goals they cut the shipment for products like hair color to use on clients back bar products and you have to go out and pay out of your pocket for color to use on clients and still give the company all the money you receive for that service. Then there is shop fee that you have to tack on to every customer. Whoever their manager is then if you have an issue with them and you try to go to the next level up they don't want to listen or fix the issue because they think the sun rises and sets in their managers. There's no work-life balance my grandkids play basketball and my granddaughter is a cheerleader and they play on Saturdays ask for one Saturday off so I can go see their games and I was told it's mandatory I have to work Saturdays couldn't even get off from my oldest grandson's birthday party but then yet they say we need to find a work life balance. Then the manager wants to nitpick about every little thing you do and then contradict yourself on the days that she's not getting her way and talk to you like you want to her children I went to I went to the upper management to complain see if we can get all this resolved and they just blew me off so when it got to the point of me having panic attacks of just the thought of going to work and a job that I love to do was starting to disturb my peace of mind and my mental stability I had to leave
