Pros

Made some of my best friends here, likely because we were all in tears everyday but whatever

Cons

Socialfly could have been so great, but unfortunately upper management won't listen to the same employee feedback they have received for years. - Consistently understaffed, meaning people are always overworked - You'll become sick working here due to being constantly overworked, you'll stop seeing friends, stop taking care of yourself, stop getting sleep - Sunday Scaries? Yeah expect them every day of the week - They don't care if you are sick, you are expected to work from home if you are sick - The responsibilities you sign onto in your contract will greatly increase with no raise in compensation - Don't value creatives - even spoke of hiring freelancers from the Philippines to cut costs on creative, yet they strive to create award winning work. - Account Director is misogynistic and has made countless demeaning comments to and about women - HIGH turnover rate

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am truly disappointed to hear you did not have a positive experience working at Socialfly. You know me well enough to know that I always welcome both positive and negative feedback from our team and I wish you had come to me directly if you were ever feeling overworked as the hours you were tracking did not reflect this. From the day you were first hired I shared with you if you ever need anything at all to come to me directly as we always strive to make Socialfly the best workplace for our team. While I respect your thoughts, I respectfully disagree with many of your statements including that you or anyone else is expected to work when you are sick. It would be nice to have a open conversation together and I would welcome a phone call. You have my direct cell phone number and email and I truly look forward to connecting. Wishing you only the best. Stephanie, Co-CEO

Don’t Do This to Yourself!

Pros

Summer Fridays and decent snacks.

Cons

Socialfly once housed some of the most talented group of individuals of all time. Unfortunately, employee feedback goes in one ear and out the other at Socialfly. Upper management (co-CEO’s and managing director) drove out approximately 15 employees over the course of 3 months due to under appreciation and exhaustion. Some employees are being forced to work until 1 a.m. with 0 recognition. Don’t drown with people who care more about their Instagram following than the welfare of their employees. You won’t be heard or seen at Socialfly, go to a place where upper management helps you grow personally and professionally!

I couldn’t agree more that we do have an incredibly talented team at Socialfly. I am uncertain as to why you are suggesting that we force people to work until 1am as that is simply not true. We use time tracking software and no one on our team is tracking hours that represent what you are falsely sharing. Please email or call me to discuss further as I welcome your feedback and I would love to understand where the miscommunication is happening. Wishing you only the best. Stephanie, Co-CEO

Pros

I had the pleasure of meeting really great people, who eventually ended up leaving, but while they lasted, it was great. Summer Fridays.

Cons

Horrible turnover, everyone who joins typically leaves within months. They blindside people and fire them without any notice or reasoning. Each department runs by itself, no collaboration between creative. CEO's are more worried about being relevant and famous than running a legitimate business. It should be more of an influencer agency than full-service. Clients typically don't last and they're unsatisfied with the quality of work. Management is horrible as there is one girl running the show, thus she is empowered to treat people poorly.

We are disappointed to hear your experience at Socialfly was not a positive one. We always welcome both positive and negative feedback from our employees, past and present, as it helps us to learn and improve. As a fast-growing agency we have certainly experienced some growing pains. However, we pride ourselves on always striving to improve our operating structure and processes to make Socialfly both a great place to work for, and with. While we respect your thoughts, we respectfully disagree with your statements regarding the quality of work we deliver on behalf of our clients, and are extremely proud of our accomplishments in this area as our past and current clients would be happy to attest to. As leaders of an agency in a very competitive industry, our decision to be so visible in our efforts to promote our agency does not come from a desire to achieve fame or relevancy, but rather to bring positive attention and increased exposure to our company so that we can continue to successfully grow our client base and create more opportunities for our team. In doing so, we also hope to inspire fellow female entrepreneurs, a big reason we are involved in, and dedicated to, several mentorship programs. While we are not perfect, we work hard to do everything we can to create a positive work environment for our employees, one in which they are able to grow both personally and professionally. It pains us to learn you had a such negative experience working with us and will certainly do all we can to ensure current and future employees do not share a similar experience. While we are always striving to improve, we are proud to share that our efforts have resulted in several accolades within our industry, including being awarded the SmartCEO Culture Award, which recognizes companies that foster a creative, collaborative workplace, while working with their employees to develop a positive, productive culture. In addition, Socialfly was also awarded a Stevie Award for Women-Run Workplace of the Year in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations, in recognition of our integrity and leadership. Hopefully our response to the concerns you shared will provide job seekers interested in potential opportunities with Socialfly insight into our mission, philosophy and commitment to making our company a place people enjoy working, while helping them develop professionally to ultimately achieve their career goals. If our professional paths are to cross again, we are optimistic you will see continued improvement. We wish you success in your career. We always welcome you reaching out to us directly if there is any way we can help you with your career goals. Respectfully, Stephanie and Courtney Founders and Co-CEO's
