Pros

Amazing team and fun work environment. Management is approachable.

Cons

A large workload and no real systems in place to support employees. A lack of communication and transparency from the top. Lots of cost-cutting which makes the work more difficult. Cramped working environment. No upskilling or progression.

Pros

People are great - the team is young and dynamic which means there is a lot of energy and enthusiasm. You'll learn to work under pressure and you'll gain a lot of client-facing expertise.

Cons

Over time - you'll work it constantly. All your work is done within a tight weekly time frame and if you get overload you will undoubtedly stay back 2 hours a night regularly. This is rarely addressed by management. They also like to throw around the term 'Negative Nancy' when people complain about working conditions.

Pros

Used to be a fun environment, you will learn a lot.

Cons

The team has decreased dramatically. There used to be nearly 30 then they got cut, left or ran out of the place. Lack of budget. Running out of toilet paper, water, cleaner was also cut. AVOID if you can.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. Firstly I'd like to reply to the Cons - they were all true and we aren't going to try and hide them. As all current staff and existing staff will know we faced a difficult period and had to make some changes to the business to ensure its longevity and future success. The company was fully transparent with everyone through this difficult period and whilst we were navigating this some things dropped such as office cleanliness etc. It was not good enough and we have since moved to fully serviced offices to ensure staff can enjoy a fully serviced work environment with various perks on top. Unfortunately this period did lead to some great team members being let go or deciding to leave the business during this challenging period. Whilst it was a tough time for everyone involved, the company is through it now and can look forward to building its future and growing the team. I won't speak for all of management but I will always be grateful to the team members who supported the company through it's transition. On the pro's - Socio did have an amazing work ethos which we spent over 3 years building with the team, our restructure did impact it for a short time frame and we are now focussed on creating a new and improved work environment where our team can flourish. I am glad to hear you learnt a lot at your time with Socio Local - as a company this is always one of the most rewarding things to hear. Unfortunately, it seems that your review is more centred around our restructure and changes at that time rather than your overall time with the company - which is a shame, but understandable given how it was a difficult period for all team members. I am not aware of any fake reviews management are writing and would think if we were writing fake reviews there would be more than 13 reviews in total as we have been around for over 3 years and have worked with over 40 great team members. If you have insight on this that we don't I'd be happy for you to email me directly on it. Thanks, Stephen
