- Very toxic work environment, run by a clique of artists that have worked there way too long and it shows to the point it’s just strange and disturbing. (If you work there you’ll know what I mean). Lack of values means they are proud to be horrible.
- Pipeline is stuck in early 2000’s when any suggestion of updating certain things, you’re shut down and shunned because they been doing it this way for years so it’s right and you’re wrong.
- success is based on how well a supervisor likes you or if you fit in with the clique of school yard bullies. Not on skill or talent.
- everything is based on seniority, so if you excel over someone that has been there longer, it doesn’t matter, you won’t get any benefit for going above and beyond.
- the environment revolves around “ego” where people that have little talent or skill have huge egos because they can work the system to shift blame and bully their opinion over others because loudest voice wins. This causes a “winners attitude” over other losers (their words) not based on skill or talent but who can convince the owner they are doing their job, which means blaming others.
- They don’t pay well. This is becoming a trend in the industry but even more so there.
- OVERTIME! They don’t pay it. You have to sign a work agreement saying you agree to overtime averaging. This means they will average your overtime over a month, and pay you with “days off” not time and a half wages. This is highly illegal, but that’s why they make you sign the agreement.
