Pros

Cons

I want to address each of what this platform considers important: Culture & Values: They took away all staff garbage cans (i know) and made everyone pay for company branded apparel that all the staff had come to love as a freebie before. Morale is low because of all the customer complaints and the restrictions on what and how many personal belongings you can have on your desk and work area Diversity & Inclusion: Check out the founder's social media. The stuff he posts is obnoxious, politically divisive and embarrassing to think I work for that creep. Work/Life Balance: Too many micromanagers. Not enough skilled, professionals to help with workload. Too many mistakes since there's no training. Senior Management: Nepotism is rampant at Solgen Power. You have to be careful who you talk to and who you interact with because they're all related to each other and never say anything about their relationship until it's too late. Obviously they're going to pass you up for promotion to promote their son or daughter, brother or sister. Compensation and Benefits: You don't get paid for any major holidays unless you've been full-time for a year. Career Opportunities: See above section on nepotism LOL If you haven't gathered already this is a horrible company to work for and to do business with. I would say my number one complaint is the non-existent training and nepotism. If you get hired for Customer Support they hand you a used, dirty headset and show you to your desk and you're taking calls the first couple of days. Things here just keep getting worse and worse.

Pros

Individual work environment. Get your own space.

Cons

Bad management and team leads. While I was there a whole team of sales representatives that were promised better positions were fired due to there monthly numbers. The only numbers that were bad on the team was the team leads points. Team leads are in charge of teams. This particular team lead blamed everything on his team so he wouldn’t get fired. Completely unprofessional and messed up.

Pros

-Some people were fine to work with -Got to take home company car

Cons

-Was informed that I would get 40 hours/week during the interview, but was averaging 25-30 hours a week -Unpredictable schedule made for poor work life balance even while not working many hours as I never knew when and how much I would be working until the day before each work day as I had to text my supervisor every single day asking when I was needed and therefore I had to make myself available just in case I had to work in the morning or evening, making it difficult to plan my personal life around work -Along with the unpredictable schedule, there were some days where I would work for a few hours, be told to clock out and go home, then go to my 1 hour appointment later in the day, which equates to 4 commutes in a single day while only getting around 4-6 hours of work on the day, one day I came in and did literally 40 minutes of work, was told I could go home then do my 1 hour appointment later in the day- that is 4 commutes for LESS THAN 2 HOURS OF WORK -Was notified that I am not allowed to discuss wages with co workers, and while this is not uncommon in workplaces, this is still a red flag as it is conducive to wage disparity due to race, gender, etc. -One of my coworkers was interviewed for an electrician position, then notified that the electrician position was filled and was offered a lower paying installer position which the coworker accepted but it ended up that no electrician was hired and the coworker was doing electrician work due to this, classic bait and switch -It seemed that the company was not ready to hire me as there seemed to not be sufficient work for me
