Management competence is terrifying. They fire competent people and keep incompetent people, proposing conspiracy theories about how the person they fired was working another job because they don't "see them" in the office.
There is no VPN connection to the office and given the nature of the IoT technology, you are many times, out of necessity, required to come into the office to do your work. It's very disappointing that a technology company cannot figure out how to set up a VPN server. Some could even say it's dangerous that you need to work in the office during a raging pandemic.
It's a startup so you never know if you'll get your next round of funding.

Executive team sets goals based on a wish and a whistle with no attention to data that would support their ideas.
Promotes people with no leadership experience or abilities into leadership positions without giving them the training they need to be successful. Hires people that are completely unqualified for the job they were hired to do. Hires qualified people to do one job and asks them to do something completely different once they are onboarded.
Executive team tries to get people pumped up on how much money the company is going to make from the "next big deal" yet they give their employees virtually zero equity which actually just makes the hoorah meetings extremely frustrating.
Overall as a company they learn and move far too slowly to succeed as a startup without revenue. Management team will lead you to believe they have revenue but "revenue" seems to be a loose term. There is no cash coming in the doors from customers at the time of this writing.
