Pros

This job has prepared me for the most ridiculous situations possible.

Cons

If you are a minority, prepare for racist comments to be made by the CEO and other coworkers, in person and in email. If you are a woman, prepare for rude comments about your weight and appearance, being inappropriately touched, as well as having your intelligence undermined. There is no HR department, no employee handbook, no rules, no processes, and no communication. Despite the fact that there are no opportunities for vertical career growth, there is a constant feeling of competition and animosity in the office. No one is willing to work together towards a common goal. The CEO works at a desk in the office with everyone, so it’s easier for him to micromanage. He is not a businessman, has no idea how to speak to people, whether it be employees or clients, and quite frankly, lacks all common sense.

Pros

The warehouse manager Nick Wu is friendly.

Cons

Top management is disrespectful to employees. For example, the boss asks female employees their weight and gives negative comments on how much employees eat on regular basis, and he is usually screaming and yelling in inappropriate languages. The benefits are bad. They don’t provide insurance, and the boss doesn’t allow sick leave if you tell him that you have a doctor’s appointment ahead of time. Employees are asked to work overtime without early notice, and this ruins employees’ personal plans on weekends and holidays. There’s no work life balance. Employees are asked to buy their own working equipment such as monitors and Microsoft Office. The work environment is bad. For example, the AC is turned on for 81 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer in Texas. Sanitary service is done by employees themselves. Safety has been jeopardized by blocking emergency exits. The boss asks employees to write full score reviews on Amazon, Google Review, and Glassdoor as well.
