Pros

Free lunch Good coworkers A lot of self-initiative in your own area.

Cons

The company at least for the European team is broken, they do not sale be careful if you want to apply to work with them. They made redundant 8 persons in February and in April is gone be a new round. The company is not selling at the moment. When they were good with the sales they used to make a lot of promises to people without accomplishing them. If you have ideas none will listen to you...

Outlook looks poor.

Pros

Flexibile work schedule, room for advancement, great coworkers.

Cons

Company seems to only be focused on top line. Everyone knows there are serious problems with the underlying product but nobody says it out loud. We've lost several key engineers in a very short period of time. The rebrand looks good but it's the same old Teespring underneath. We were told a serious effort was going to be made to improve the platform but nothing has happened on that front.

Home Sweet Home

Pros

Directors are appreciative and regularly recognize your work. Supervisors do not believe in micro management. You own your work, your work doesn't own you. Coworkers become your extended family. They don't hire bottom of the barrel folks. Supervisors and Directors are very transparent and communicative.

Cons

I can't think of any!

Pros

Growing company, so there was a ton of opportunity if you played your cards right Huge career launcher - I got my dream job with my skills gained here, and it only took me about a week on the market to get several job offers. Good benefits, coworkers became like family even after the office closed. For the first year or so, work was really really fun and rewarding.

Cons

At the time there was bad communication between board members and executives but I heard that is being sorted out and attributed to growing pains. It seemed like everyone wore rose colored glasses...there was a cult-like feeling sometimes the way the troops were rallied at All Hands meetings (I think this is a normal Silicon Valley strategy though). It wasn't uncommon to work 50 - 60hrs per week 'for the greater good'. It was inherently sexist there, there were fewer men workers but they were in management positions and made a ridiculously high salary comparative to all of the female 'worker bees'.

No management

Pros

The atmosphere is nice and there are some nice benefits which were implemented more recently. The pay compared to other local companies is decent. Workload has become more manageable recently. A sense of camaraderie among coworkers, for the most part. They are flexible and reasonable with time off, e.g. having to work from home, holiday, vacation.

Cons

I have been working here for over three years now. In these three years, I have had 11 different managers with 7 of them being in 2016 alone. At one point, the team reported directly to the CEO because we didn't have a manager. Now we have a team leader and the management structure is still not clear. Even if we have a manager it is not someone who is even educated in our team's specialty because we work in "pods". A pod seems to be an excuse to not have managers or to keep people with a "team leader" title so they do not have to be paid a manager's salary. There is a lot of fishiness from some of the higher-ups (not the CEO) in the company. They think we don't know what's going on, but they are actually very transparent and you can easily see through the fake smiles. The employees were lied to multiple times as we all thought the company was doing great when in fact it wasn't. We got holiday bonuses once years ago and have never received a bonus since. Unless you count getting a holiday sweater a "bonus". Even after two massive lay-offs, people continue to either be laid off, "mutually leave", or just leave. Nothing is able to get done because management and teams are changing all of the time. If you run into an issue, you will be ignored and wait over a year for it to finally be acknowledged and taken care of. Even now, there are huge glitches on the website which are being ignored because it's "too time consuming." Unrealistic expectations run rampant. What is considered to be a major project typically flops because the expectations were way beyond what was actually realistic. Some jobs were moved out of the country and the quality of that work has dropped dramatically. There is no oversight on these workers so they are able to get away with doing poor work. Even after reporting to a manager, it didn't matter because that manager would then leave and there's no one to report it to anymore.

Consistent opportunities to learn and adapt role

Pros

- I like having the freedom to determine my own role. Things are constantly changing and I've had the opportunity to work across all departments and with all teams over the course of my career. - If I see an opportunity for growth or something I think should be done I'm able to pursue it (as long as it aligns with overall company goals). - Laid back management approach - teams meet regularly but I've never experienced any form of micromanagement. Also, leadership is always available to offer feedback and advice. - The company is still small and moves quickly—there are lots of opportunities to learn (or teach yourself) to do something new. - Friendly coworkers around the world. I've made close friends with colleagues over the years.

Cons

- Sometimes work creeps into personal time. There are moments where you'll need to burn the midnight oil to get things done by certain deadlines—as long as you can find a balance it's fine.
