Depending on where you work, the management can be very aggressive and inconsistent. I experienced borderline harassment from my supervisor. Expectations would be changed on a dime. Superiors would outright deny that they had provided a direction for the employees to follow. People are terrified of their immediate supervisors.
Person-centered is a mantra there. Professionally, I feel it is taken to the extreme, so much so that clinicians are not always allowed to be clinicians. There is little grace given to the staff with difficult clients and situations. When people seek support, they are often accused of not being client-centered enough, lack the ability to perform self-care or, in my case, be told that I create my own trauma. I felt insulted most days of the week regarding feedback provided to me.
