Pros
- flexible working -newly build corporate offices - friendly atmosphere - reasonable package
Cons
- management is dreadful, don't bring unqualified managers into the business who don't understand the business or how to support the team. - a sizeable portion of people who don't know how to do their job and drags everyone else down. A small portion of the bank accounts for a majority of work completed - lack of career progression

At first, get a good training on how to do things, very compliance
Cons
No growth after being with the branch, promotion is not based on performance and achievement but only FAVOURISM.

Thankful but don't miss it

Most of the people you work (branch) with are great and are the primary reason you look forward to coming into work You don't need any experience or knowledge to get a job with St George - they'll train you up as best as they can Holiday planning is pretty flexible although you have to put in for leave 12 months in advance (seems common within banks)
Cons
It's all about the sale rather than customer service The pay is quite poor in a branch if you're anything other than a lender or branch manager considering you do a lot of work that's not just banking e.g. legal, personal advice, etc. You get burnt out very quickly It's very hard to get out of a branch. Everyone always says you have to get out of a branch as fast as you can and work behind the scenes Not much assistance in career progression - basically have to wait for someone to resign or move to another branch or area of the business to move up the ranks
