Hi Everyone,
I want to share my recent experience with the hiring process at Stem.inc for a Financial Analyst position. Despite clearing all four interview rounds, I encountered significant issues that I feel compelled to highlight.
Initially, the HR representative confirmed that I had successfully passed all interview stages and agreed to offer a 30-35% salary hike, which aligns with the current market rate. Following this, they requested my payslip and other details from my current employer, including my offer letter and other sensitive information. Trusting their word, I provided all the requested documents.
However, after two weeks of silence, I reached out to HR for an update. To my dismay, I was informed that they could only offer a salary package significantly lower than the initially agreed 30% hike. This sudden change left me feeling misled and undervalued.
It's concerning that companies often express anxiety over employees potentially leaving after receiving offer letters, yet they don't address situations where candidates are kept in limbo after sharing critical personal and professional information. This lack of transparency and professionalism in the hiring process is unacceptable.
I hope this post raises awareness about such practices and encourages companies to uphold integrity and fairness in their recruitment processes.
Thank you for reading.
