Good hours
Most drivers are friendly
Trainers are amazing
Cons
Old crappy buses, constantly breaking down.
Management passed the buck. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing
Screw staff out of actual hours worked
Training Bonus...is a joke, don't fall for it
Flexible hours. Friendly coworkers (minus a few management). Social engagement with community at large. Charter opportunities allow opportunities and social engagement with community at large.
Cons
Certain members of management are hostile and actively create pay mistakes and interfere with other department's work like routing. Pay clerk actively tried to underpay and force change my bus route for no reason whatsoever. School board rejected her changes. Also required complaints to the Ministry of Labour to fix mistake. If you don't understand the pay system or how bus driving works, please kindly turn off your computer and resign. Mandatory implied overtime. Claims that refueling and other duties are paid but not paid or the claims sheet/requests are ignored by the pay clerk (Driver Supervisor) or whatever she calls herself in that corner of hers.
Pay is unfortunately bottom tier due to the competitive nature of contract bidding. Strange how Stock Transportation lost all the contracts in the region despite lower wages than their competition.
