Pros

Because the boss wants you to like working here, you are pampered with benefits. Like a rock climbing wall that you can't climb. This is not a metaphor, they literally built one, told us it's for us, then said no, you can't climb it. They have safety mattresses. But we still can't climb it. And coffee. As mentioned by previous commenters, the people who work(ed) here are(were) great. Friendly and supportive of one another, approachable even though there were obviously cliques that were already formed but that's ok, that's just the way some people are.

Cons

No bonuses. They say they give employees stock options. They didn't offer to people who have been there for a long time. They probably didn't suck up to the upper management enough. They moved the sales team to the ops team. Imagine the chaos when that happened. And it's not like they took small roles... The head of sales took over the entire operations department, brought along his team and put them in leadership roles, over the people who have been in leadership roles in the operations department. Then, they hired outside of the company instead of promoting the ones inside, you know, the people who know how things function? The ones who have the respect of their colleagues? No, no. Getting outside people to come in and implement their new vision and changes, in times of hardship and turmoil would definitely make people feel better. The head of sales/ops once said that he doesn't care what the comments here say because they are all by disgruntled employees. Imagine that. Of course, who cares about the fact that you treat your staff so bad they felt compelled to leave reviews here. Also, what? They worked for you. If they're ALL disgruntled, that's on you. Of course you should care. It's a reflection of your performance. Then he blamed it on previous management for being too nice to the employees before he took over. Again, imagine that. Being a nice person means people are happier and willing to work harder for you, push themselves more, without wanting more. That's what humans do. They want to be on the same level as Amazon or Alibaba and they use Jack Ma and Jeff Bezos as models for how they should treat their staff. Never mind the fact that they are accused of abuse. Never mind that they are questioned for Human Rights Violations. No, we want money. CoVid happened. Sucked for the company. A lot of employees got laid off with 2 hours notice. People who have been there for so long just got a "you're let go now, please return all the stuff we gave you, bye". They used to say we're on the same boat so imagine the feeling people got when they were pushed off that boat. With a two hour warning. And a small life vest. They didn't even follow Last In, First Out procedures. Who cares about loyalty? For the previous commenter who put a 5 star review questioning "it's a company, not a charity??", "of course things change fast, Hello, CoVid happened??" and a slew of other very sarcastic comments, do you realize that you're diminishing legitimate concerns of actual people? That this is the reason people fear to voice out their comments and concerns? If you are part of the management team, then I would advise the people working under you to really take a step back and consider whether you're worth working for. I, personally, would rather lose my job because of my morals, my health and my happiness than lose my morals, my health and my happiness because of my job. Which one would you rather sacrifice? You're worth more than being under someone like that. It's just really sad, all things considered. Sad that the upper management no longer has the people who cared for people and could actually communicate. Sad that the people who cared for people no longer want to work here. Sad that, all things considered, StoreHub will probably still survive but without the people who have put their health and sanity on the line for it. I hate the fact that I am too cowardly to put my name here but because of my past experiences with the management team being unreceptive of criticism, I really don't want to risk it. Maybe it's not the management's fault. Maybe situations sucked and they had to react that way. Maybe. I don't have the full picture. I just know that consistently throughout the years, people have been under appreciated, promises were not kept, and targets were not met. All three of these are management issues. Also, if the situations sucked so bad that they had to start treating the employees that way... Then is it really a situation you want to jump into? If you've gone through this entire long rant and you still want to consider a career in StoreHub, please, I honestly beg you to take a moment, take a breath, and really consider all your options.
