Pros
Provide some training when needed, but does not follow up.
Cons
When it comes down to it, the company does not have your best interest
Pros
Some good people work here Competitive salary
Cons
Ad hoc management style Benefit package leaves much to be desired Too many 'tools' that aren't being fully utilized Poor company culture High turnover
Pros
Employees are extremely nice and enjoyable to work with. A small company so the work you do is pretty impactful. There is a decent budget to work with including some large software tools you wouldn't expect to have access to. They have some good, big-named companies as clients.
Cons
The company makes most of it's money off of being a print house. The other "products/services" they offer are hard to sell and nothing to write home about. Some of their services are even outsourced to other companies. They appear bigger than they are with one IT guy working on all client needs. Benefits are poor . You must work there 6 years for a 401k match. Healthcare is through a small, unheard of company. PTO/vacation is minimal and working from home is not an option. It's definitely a boys club with management changing things on a dime. I've never worked for a company with poorer communication. They just decide they don't like something last minute (even if previously approved) and there goes your plans. Forget about a PIP (performance improvement plan). If you do something wrong you might get fired. Formal warnings or reviews are not always done, especially since there is no HR staff member to ensure the company operates ethically or legally. They've fired multiple employees, without warning, to bring in other staff. It's a little disturbing how desensitized current employees are about turnover.
