Pros

Decent pay, generous PTO, good work-life balance. Depending on the shift, people are generally pleasant to work with. Convenient location as well.

Cons

No bonus or pay raise, management can be uptight but as long as you work efficiently and with care, you'll be fine.

They might pretend to be nice to you and you might get a Red Sox game out of it

Cons

This was the most toxic environment I have ever worked in. People openly using slurs, they harass and insult you and when you say something HR and the lab head will side with the harassers and say you're the problem for complaining. Accessioning is a dead end job and they treat you poorly there. Stay as far away from this place as you can unless you want to be abused, gaslit, and taken advantage of. A gross time of my life that I will scrub from my memory.

I learned a great deal of knowledge working in a dermatopathology lab. I got to learn the science as well as the business side.

Cons

Consumes a lot out of you, but all good if you’re young and ambitious.
