Pros

The pros were that the culture was composed of motivated and smart people. The company was on the cutting edge of analytics implementations, so we were gaining a lot of exposure up until about three years ago. I used to be a huge cheerleader for this shop, but the culture became very toxic over the past 3 years.

Cons

The company is dying quickly. Roughly 40% of the senior team members have left for better opportunities in the past quarter, and resource utilization is approximately 50% in a good week; you won't hit your billable target. Leadership has spent the last three years pitching the strategy of pivoting to advanced analytics and business intelligence, but they have failed to execute and continue to be typecast as good technical resources for running your tag management tool. Nepotism is rampant among leadership with family members still employed after substantial screw ups. Other members of leadership are there because they grew up with the former CEO but are entirely unqualified to lead; prefer self over team. This has also lead the culture to shift from being team oriented to being focused on self-preservation. Everyone is quick to blame someone else or hide behind a loophole in the project management process; a big game of hot potato.

Pros

I was excited at first to be hired bu that went away very quickly. I met some decent people.... that's about it!

Cons

The CEO's arrogance was beyond the pale... he has his circle of frat boys that he would throw business to and hang out socially with but anyone outside the circle was demeaned and looked down upon. This company loved titles and would hire folks that would love their titles as well, flaunting their self-proclaimed superiority and not really doing much of anything. There was no training on anything, and was left to fend for myself. The direction was constantly changing along with everyone's title, projects were constantly messed up and lost. The big titled people would leave you hanging to pursue their own projects. This was one of the most unpleasant places I have ever worked. I would run not walk away from this place. . .

Pros

Can't think of any Pros.

Cons

These individuals fill key positions with like-minded family members, friends that aren't qualified, or spineless "yes-men" who do as they are told, look the other way, and trade their integrity for director positions, and larger pay checks. The net effect is a company that completely lacks morale, stability, vision, innovation, and leadership. Under no circumstances would I recommend you work at Stratigent. Not for experience. Not for a title. Not even to simply collect a paycheck, which is what literally everyone there is doing, partners included. It's simply not worth it, and any experience gained from such a backwards environment might actually be to the detriment of your career.
