Pros

As a full time employee you get benefits like 401k, health insurance and PTO and that is pretty much it. I don't see any pros for part time employees.

Cons

Where to start? They pay in this company is one of the worst out there. Any part time associate anywhere gets paid better than a Full Time in this company. I worked as a full time associate for 5 years with them. It was a mission to get a raise of a few cents a year and the work got more demanding and basically they expect you to manage a store (because most of the managers don't get to have an assistant) for less than $10 an hour. They give very little hours to part time associates and the turnover is very high, they stay for a few months and then they leave. You spend many hours in the store by yourself because there is no payroll to have 2 people working. The company is a mess and they have no control over freight. You spend weeks waiting to get any shipment and customers complaining because you don't have in stock what they want and then all of the sudden they send crazy amounts of shipments everyday and you can't keep up with it. They have no idea of the capacity of the stockrooms and it gets so crowded with so many shoes that you can barely walk. There is no extra payroll to process freight and you are supposed to do it while you handle a busy store most of the time by yourself. The upper management has very unrealistic expectations about sales and the way the stores should be run. They drive managers insane and then there is this costumer service survey that they go crazy about and customers just do that to get the discount and they don't even look what they write in there and the corporate people just believes that and they have no clue about all the hard work associates do in the store with very little resources and no payroll.

Pros

The discounts at other companies under Wolverine Worldwide and the relationships built with certain customers.

Cons

Buckle your seat belts ladies and gents because this is a hefty one: - The lack of oversight and involvement in relationship with the harsh criticisms with upper management. To be more specific, I and three other part time workers were left to carry the store after an abandonment from out manager and no district manager reached out to help at any point. When we did receive new store management as well as district management things turned for the worst. A district manager was an arrogant "leader" who thrived off of bullying the lowly teenage girls employed at the stores. - I at one point was forced to pay for a customer in a separate state's shoes for a charge send. When asked to be reimbursed the company did what it does best and meandered around my questions, dodged my outreaches for a payback and eventually told me it was my fault with no other explanation. - A coworker went without pay for 3 months because the company hires incompetent managers. - I was begged to come in unscheduled and paid under the table by multiple managers.
