Hmm, let me think...they paychecks didn't bounce.

Cons

Leadership was awful. Chaotic, disruptive with little support.

Thank you for your years with Study.com and for sharing your perspective. You're right — parts of the sales organization went through several changes during that time, and we recognize that period felt chaotic and disruptive for the people living through it. We continue to invest in manager development and regular feedback channels, so employees feel supported and heard. For anyone considering Study.com: we'd encourage you to ask about team structure and management style during your interviews, and to connect with people across the org to get a full picture. If you'd like to share more, our People team is at people@study.com. We wish you well.

Pros

Content team all trauma bonded together

Cons

Horrible, greedy company trying to outsource everything to India and the Philippines. Don't actually care about education. Website could have been about anything, they just happened to choose education.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We're genuinely sorry your experience didn't reflect the kind of workplace we aim to build. We do work with talented contributors around the world — including in the U.S., India, the Philippines, and beyond — because we believe diverse teams and global expertise strengthen the educational content we create. That said, we understand that organizational changes can be difficult, and we recognize that transitions don't always feel smooth to those living through them. We wish you well in your next chapter.

Pros

Study.com's motto is to 'open the door to the life-changing impact of education', and I feel this is true for their employees, not just users. As an in-house employ, I get these benefits (I get more, but these are the ones I cherish the most): 1. Opportunity to learn, experiment and explore new tools from the industry, especially AI. Hence, growing alongside the technology. 2. We are doing what general companies aren't even thinking of doing at this moment by being AI-first. 3. A cohesive environment where I can work and laugh with my team while knowing that they have my back. 4. My work-life balance hasn't been better. Not just time-wise, but mentally also. 5. Everything is really organised inside the company, along with my interview (the smoothness of my interview was the biggest reason I decided to join the company)

Cons

There are no cons for me. I might have finally found a place with zero politics, 100% encouragement, and managers trying to gauge your potential and learning style to accommodate you better.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful review — it genuinely made our day. It means a lot to hear that our mission to 'open the door to the life-changing impact of education' feels just as true for our team as it does for the learners we serve. Hearing that you're growing alongside new tools, finding real work-life balance, and feeling supported by a team that has your back is exactly what we hope every employee experiences. We're especially glad the interview process stood out to you — we work hard to make it smooth and human, so it's wonderful to know it played a part in your decision to join. We can't wait to see all the ways you'll grow with us.
