Ignores Issues

Pros

Production employees and leads are great with a high commitment to delivering on time and with high quality.

Cons

The entire company is aware of all the issues and road blocks the production team runs into but chooses to focus on other areas. They choose to revamp internal systems that directly affect the production team and had asked for feedback on what minimal requirements it should have to be useful for the team and fails to deliver on all of them. There was minimal to no transitionary period provided to the production leads and managers to aid in its successful integration and took away visibility from the team on existing projects which led to late deliveries. The entire warehouse was understaffed with increased sales goals for months which led to delayed projects for months. There director of operations also has serious issues with favoritism and choosing to listen to rumors instead of finding the root cause to the issue and fixing it. There were issues escalated on multiple occasions with minimal to no action made to rectify the situation since they highly favored the manager in question. Also, they talk about growth over and over again but leads have had the same position for 3-4 years with no room for growth. They do not want to create new opportunities or at least level two lead positions because they do not want to re-invest in their people. All they do is give you mandatory over time months on end with no reward for the job well done.

Pros

It's a relatively new building and they have some snacks.

Cons

The company operates a few Radio Frequency Sealers that expose operators (and anyone in the vicinity) to dangerous levels of RF energy. Basically it's like standing in an open-air microwave. You essentially get cooked slowly from the inside and you can't even tell that it's happening because this form of energy doesn't trigger your senses that detect heat in your skin. I alerted management about this severe employee health issue and they did nothing, Several months went by, I offered solutions and contacts to monitoring/mitigation experts, and asked for updates on a monthly basis; nothing. I could no longer risk exposure for myself. I warned fellow employees who had no idea because the company never told them, and then I quit. There were a number of other serious safety issues that were not being dealt with either. The company makes millions in profit, there's no excuse to be putting employee's lives in danger. No professional development. Meetings are just to put out fires and talk about the day-to-day operations that should require no conversation; there's no organizational focus on continuous improvement.
