Pros

As we keep saying - a group of extraordinarily gifted people delivering below average results, good bright minds at all places, young and vibrant company to be with but little else apart from that

Cons

Absolutely chaotic company to work with, no efforts to systemise as well,. Recent events raising many doubts on the capabilities of leaders. Many people are asked to leave just because of the stupidity of th so called management

Pros

Some really good, intelligent and diverse colleagues to work with. The workplace is always lively and dynamic. Lot of opportunities if you are an all-rounder and willing to take on multi-tasking roles. Pay is definitely above par for this industry.

Cons

Zero strategy!I have seen kids at lemonade stands with more nous. Still works like a startup, a misfiring 59 year old startup at that. The top management have either been swindled by i-bankers seeing the moronic acquisitions they have lined up ,else they need a refresher course in business 101. Not paying vendors seems to be the only strategy that is visible and prevalent .Yet they have no cash!

Pros

1) The company is expanding like crazy and the industry’s growth potential is very good. So lots of new avenues to work on. There are times when one feels that we are doing something tangible to help this world be a better place. 2) Work life balance depends on which department and manager you work for... but generally, it is a flexible work culture. Decent benefits overall. 3) For a person who doesn’t mind jumping between departments and roles, it would be an awesome learning experience. The exposure one can get to various aspects of running a complex business is very good. 4) The culture training is one of the best experiences. It has impacted several people positively (exceptions always apply).

Cons

1) After all these years, SunEdison seems to be still stuck in a startup mode. Employee turnover, frequent strategy changes, “everything is urgent” mode of work… the current pace is unsustainable and highly stressful. 2) Lack of coherent and cohesive policies across business units makes it a nightmare for people who work across regions and business units. 3) Leaders and/or roles get shuffled frequently. Information is not readily available on boundaries on responsibilities between departments as well as who exactly is responsible for doing what. 4) No transparency on employee growth or pay-scales, no defined career path even for those who have been with the company for a long time. Unless you get noticed by an already noticed top gun, your chances of moving upward are slim.
