Pros
Good benefits. Higher education benefits. Vacation time, sick time, floating holidays, most holidays off. Very nice looking and clean facility. Very good at researching cancer and treating cancer. Lots of good people work here, that's excluding all management.
Cons
Highly micro-managed. You have to pay for parking. Cafeteria is expensive. If you want to be promoted, you either have to know someone or do a lot of "sucking up". Those who get promoted usually have very little, to no management/charge/director experience. Depending on how your department is staffed or ran, trying to take advantage of the education benefit is like pulling teeth out of an alligator's mouth. The appearance and reputation/recognition of the facility means more, at least it seems, to the administration, because it affects bonuses of course. God forbid if you out shine someone who's been there either longer or with a "higher" title, your life would be made impossible. There will be no support if you're someone who speaks their mind or gives good ideas for improvement or constructive criticism.
