Pros

Top leadership work very hard to promote the image of the company

Cons

Instead of fixing the things that employees have been complaining about for years now, we are told that everything is great and everything improving. After every big project is pushed through, leadership congratulate themselves. We actually had to sit through a meeting where we watched clips of senior management celebrating in Amsterdam "after all that hard work", during a time when we were still working full speed. Senior management aren't very self aware, and I don't believe they work half as hard as the rest of us do.

Near breaking point!

Pros

A chance to learn about the green energy market

Cons

Management don't care about developers. There are no benefits, the pay is too low, they keep kicking the can down the road with false promises. There are long hours and too much pressure put on me from product managers and team leads. These constant short deadlines are building up technical debt and wearing us down.

Pros

Some departments seem to have it easier, depends on where you work.

Cons

No bonus pay for working beyond normal hours, which happens a lot. It's not a great work life balance, but there is no career progression either.

There are a lot of challenges to tackle in the scale-up that we are currently in but not at the expense of your wellbeing.
