Pros

Sodas and coffee. Deli meat and sandwiches for lunch even though you are expected to be out to lunch every day.

Cons

I was recruited from a good job with promises of 6+ figures and my own established accounts to work in Business Development. I have been in sales all of my life and have always, always been a superstar. I actually went to high school with the owner and mistakingly trusted him. I can't really describe the 'interview' process since Jeff Martin (owner) talked the whole time and I nodded yes and no. He tried to wine and dine me with a full course meal at the Southern after I refused three times to leave my other job. *If it's too good to be true - it probably is.. I was told that the reason the previous BD rep left because she had "mental problems". I found out the truth too late. She just didn't want to work for a terrible company. I accepted the job... I received zero accounts of my own. ALL active accounts were given to the other BD Associate.I received no actual IT training on-site, no training from Jeff or anyone that actually worked for Synergy Systems, no reviews (neither 45 or 90 day reviews). No write-ups, no corrections, no indication that I was doing anything wrong. With no plausible explanation and no notice, on December 12, 2014, I was fired. Four months in - with four kids under five. In the IT business it is proven that it takes 5-8 months to make a recruiting placement. I had already made one - and had another in the works. So much more I could say. The CEO, Jeff Martin, doesn't understand basic management theory. He will most often not allow you to speak with him - door often shut - and there is no one else to go to for high-level questions. Jeff Martin's only allegience is to money. There is NO room for advancement at this company and I was miserable. Of the three (remaining) office employees, we all walked on eggshells not knowing what was going to happen daily. Getting fired was probably the best thing that happened to me. I would say he has lost approximately 20 employees in the past year. TERRIBLE place to work.

I am genuinely sorry that your experience wasn't a pleasant one. In our years of business, this is rare that this experience is what happens and we take pride in that.

Progressive and Growing Consulting Organization with Big Things Ahead

Pros

If you are looking for a place where you come to the office and it is like going to work with your friends and family then Synergy is that place. The internal team as well as the consultants on the team are all down to earth, approachable, smart, hungry, and most importantly humble. Everyone takes pride in their work and is rewarded for it. Jeff created the company to provide an environment just like this for people who want to work hard, be appreciated, and be able to do very well for themselves. If you like the words progressive, forward thinking, high energy, action, always something to do, opportunity for growth, accountability, coupled with the words I mentioned about humble, hungry and smart then Synergy is a great place to be for sure.

Cons

The only con I can think of is that if you are one of the kinds of people that likes to coast, hide behind excuses, reports and spreadsheets, and is afraid to put their head down and grind it out when something needs to be accomplished then Synergy is probably not the place for you. Synergy does not hire or keep Ego Maniacs, Prima Donna's, or people with a sense of entitlement. You earn your spot here at Synergy...if you are not comfortable with that, again it might be a good idea to look elsewhere.
