Pros

Opportunity to work in many industries and with different technology Interesting clients

Cons

Poor organisation - people working at cross-purposes, time and power often wasted repeating the same task needlessly No feedback - don't expect to be told when there is an issue Poor leadership and management - making technical people managers doesn't work Work/life balance can be iffy - some staff are seriously overworked, sometimes without pay for overtime, and staff/skill shortages mean it is very hard to get vacation time Little opportunity for career advancement if you stay, but the experience will be valuable if you move somewhere else

Pros

People are all nice, and most clients are nice too. Not sure about internal workers, but engineers are usually at client sites alone or with others and can have various technical opportunity and meet new people, so engineers have advantage. Benefits and pay are better than other Japanese base competitors.

Cons

Career path may not be satisfied as it depends on which clients you are assigned to and what to do there. Because Management are American and Australian, Japanese who are not good at English may feel unfairly treated while non-Japanese speaker cannot do good performance in client sites.
